This crate shipped Binney & Smith Crayon Chalk.   It measures about 8 1/4 inches across the front.  about 9 1/8 inches from front to back and 4 inches deep.  The corners are dovetailed.  The bottom has a chip of wood missing at the rear bottom of the box.   The box held marine green chalk as it is stamped as such.  The right front has some discoloration where it absorbed some dirt.  I did not try to clean it.
