Our 3' x 5' Grand Unionflag includes vivid colors and an accurate design screen-printed on a durable 100% polyester material. The flag features a white fabric header with two brass grommets on the 3' side for easy display. The flag is best used indoors but can withstand occasional outdoor use. The authentic design is based on information from official sources. The Grand Union Flag (also the Continental Colors, the Congress Flag, the Cambridge Flag, and the First Navy Ensign) is considered to be the first national flag of the United States. This flag consisted of 13 red and white stripes with the British Union Flag of the time in the canton. The flag was first flown on December 2, 1775 by John Paul Jones on the ship Alfred in Philadelphia.
