Condition: Used in Good Condition. No cracks, fleabites, scratches or crazing. There is one chip that could be repaired with shiny white craft paint. There are some pin holes where the glaze had bubbles which burst during firing. The white glaze is coated unevenly in some spots allowing the original color of the item to show through. This is normal for some glazes and the hand painting process.

This Patronelli Ceramic Basket Studio Pottery is made in Grottaglie, Italy and signed by the maker Patronelli. It is a plain item except for the braided handle and the fluted rim. The fluting on the rim is the same as would be used to flute a pie crust. The handle has been hand applied to the base, and the base was created by throwing on a potter's wheel, then hand fluted. Since this item is a plain design it would lend itself to containing colorful flowers and greenery, candy, or whatever your imagination could come up with. It is more of a functional item rather than decorative. If you are skilled at tole painting or know someone who is, they could apply designs if desired to the blank canvas of the basket.
