    Note: This red/black wire is also adequate for providing a power/ground for 12 volt accessory applications. Just make sure you have a good understanding of what you're doing.     Remember, when it comes to wire, the smaller the number, the more heavy-duty and thicker the wire is. Use thinner wire for low powered systems and shorter cable runs. Thicker wire is needed for higher powered installations and longer cable runs.
