Oh boy, have I got a gem for you. This is Dreaming #53, a delightful little story from DC/Vertigo where—get this—a former serial killer (because, you know, you just stop doing that one day) gets himself tangled up in a fun-filled romp of “international and interdimensional intrigue” in Thailand. Yes, Thailand. Because when I think of places where supernatural murderers go to reinvent themselves, Thailand is obviously at the top of the list.

This is Part 2 of 3, so if you love jumping into a story right in the middle with absolutely no context, you’re in for a treat. Will our charming ex-murderer, the Corinthian, be consumed by darkness? Will he find love? Will he figure out how to live a normal life despite, you know, having TEETH FOR EYES? I wouldn’t want to spoil it for you, but let’s just say you’re definitely going to want to own this highly essential piece of comic book history.

The comic is in great shape (but I’m not CGC, so don’t sue me if you think otherwise). If you’re a Sandman fan, a collector, or just someone who enjoys stories about nightmare creatures trying to “find themselves” like it’s some kind of supernatural Eat, Pray, Love, then this is your moment.
