Wound dressing for stopping bleeding and wound care
Gelaspon is a sterile, resorbable gelatin sponge for treating small superficial wounds. Its fine-pored structure activates blood clotting. Gelaspon Strips have a neutral pH value and are well tolerated by tissue. The sterile-packed Gelaspon Strips can be removed from superficial wounds without leaving any residue.
High absorbency
The way Gelaspon works is based on its fine-pored, porous sponge structure. This gives Gelaspon a high absorbency for blood and wound secretions. Gelaspon can be used to stop bleeding in the case of mild to moderate nosebleeds, to treat superficial wounds and after tooth extraction.

Application:
Stopping bleeding in the case of nosebleeds: Insert a Gelaspon Strip into the affected nostril. The strip can be squeezed slightly to facilitate insertion.
If the bleeding does not stop after using a second Gelaspon Strip, a doctor should be consulted.
Treating wounds: For dry wounds, it is recommended to use the Gelaspon Strip moistened, and for treating wet wounds, use it dry.
Using sterile scissors, a Gelaspon Strip can be adjusted to the size and shape of the wound.
Stopping bleeding: Apply Gelaspon Strip until the bleeding stops.
For wounds that secrete secretions, Gelaspon forms a gel, which allows for painless dressing changes.
Use Gelaspon Strip immediately after opening the individual packaging to ensure sterility.
Nosebleeds in children: Gelaspon Strips can also be used on children.
