Well known for it's shape and fragrance, and dark blue-green evergreen needles that have a silvery underside. Branches are strong and well spaced, making it one of the most poplar Christmas trees. Is the #1 Christmas Tree in North Carolina. Also makes a outstanding specimen tree for the landscape.
Best Grown in full sun in cool locations and part shade in hotter locations. Likes moist, well drained, fertile acidic soil in USDA Hardiness Zone 4-7 and Zone 8 in the Pacific Northwest. Grows 30-50 ft tall and 10- 25 foot wide. Does best if protected from drying winds on cool sites. Needles may burn if grown in full sun in the Pacific Northwest. Not recommended for Desert Southwest, Texas, Utah, or the Southern inland part of California.
