B12 Ankermann 1,000 g tablets
Against tiredness and exhaustion caused by vitamin B12 deficiency
Strong effect against vitamin B12 deficiency
A vitamin B12 deficiency is widespread: around one in ten people in Germany is affected.
1
The causes are varied: they range from insufficient intake through food and taking medication to gastrointestinal disorders and natural aging processes that make it difficult to absorb vitamin B12. The health consequences are serious, because vitamin B12 is essential for many metabolic processes in the body. The symptoms of a vitamin B12 deficiency can manifest themselves in different ways, for example in the form of tiredness, reduced physical performance, concentration problems, forgetfulness, mood swings or even irritability.
2
If the intake through food is insufficient, food supplements can be a useful addition. However, if a vitamin B12 deficiency already exists, high-dose vitamin B12 in the form of medicines is required. These are available without a prescription. One crucial difference to a dietary supplement: only medicines have been extensively tested by the authorities with regard to their effectiveness, quality and safety and are suitable for compensating for a deficiency.
B12 Ankermann medicine with the strongest effective dose

In the case of a vitamin B12 deficiency, the motto is "more is better", because only with a high vitamin B12 concentration in the intestine can a sufficiently high diffusion pressure arise that allows the vitamin B12 to migrate through the intestinal wall all by itself. In this way, enough vitamin B12 can be absorbed by the body - even if absorption is impaired due to certain illnesses or medications, for example. With the help of high-dose preparations (at least 600 micrograms), enough vitamin B12 is absorbed to compensate for a deficiency.
3
If you have a vitamin B12 deficiency, use the high-dose tablets from B12 Ankermann. One tablet a day can be enough to compensate for the deficiency.
3
The medicine is well tolerated and can be taken over a longer period of time if necessary. Thanks to its dosage of 1,000 micrograms, the body is supplied with sufficient vitamin B12 even if its absorption capacity is impaired.

THESE GROUPS OF PEOPLE HAVE AN INCREASED RISK OF DEVELOPING A VITAMIN B12 DEFICIENCY:
VEGETARIANS AND VEGANS
Valuable vitamin B12 is found almost exclusively in animal foods. This is why vegetarians, vegans and people who eat a low-meat diet often do not get enough vitamin B12 from their food.
DIABETIC PEOPLE AND PEOPLE WHO ARE TAKING MEDICATION ON A CONTINUOUS TIME
Medications such as metformin for diabetes or stomach acid inhibitors (e.g. omeprazole or pantoprazole) can cause a vitamin B12 deficiency because they impair the absorption of vitamin B12. Up to 30% of all metformin and PPI patients are actually affected by a vitamin B12 deficiency.
5,6
PEOPLE WITH GASTROINTESTINAL DISEASES AND ABSORPTION DISORDERS
If the stomach and intestinal function is disturbed, many vital substances can only be absorbed with difficulty. The causes include inflammation of the gastric mucosa and chronic intestinal inflammation.
SENIORS
Older people in particular often struggle with a vitamin B12 deficiency, because the body's ability to absorb decreases with age. One in four people over the age of 65 is affected by a vitamin B12 deficiency.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Can B12 Ankermann also be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
During breastfeeding, vitamin B12 is excreted in breast milk. No adverse effects are to be expected on breastfed newborns/children. B12 Ankermann can be used during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor in advance about the use of B12 Ankermann during breastfeeding and pregnancy.
Are B12 Ankermann tablets vegan?
B12 Ankermann tablets contain small amounts of milk sugar (lactose). The lactose content corresponds approximately to the amount contained in 200 ml of lactose-free milk. B12 Ankermann Vital is a dietary supplement that contains no animal ingredients. Due to its dosage of 100 micrograms of vitamin B12, it is ideal for supporting vegetarians and vegans to ensure their daily vitamin B12 supply and thus counteract the development of a vitamin B12 deficiency. However, it is not suitable for compensating for a deficiency. For this, the high-dose B12 Ankermann tablets with 1,000 micrograms are necessary.
What form of vitamin B12 does B12 Ankermann contain?
The B12 Ankermann tablets contain cyanocobalamin. This is a particularly stable form of vitamin B12, which is why it is most commonly used in medicines and dietary supplements. The form in which vitamin B12 is contained in a preparation has no influence on its effectiveness. All forms - whether methyl, hydroxo or cyanocobalamin - show no differences in absorption and metabolism. The body first converts each form of vitamin B12 into cobalamin before this is converted back into the active vitamin B12 forms methyl and adenosylcobalamin in the target cells. Active forms therefore have no advantage over cyanocobalamin.
8
What advantage does a monopreparation have over vitamin combination preparations?
A single preparation - such as the B12 Ankermann drug - can be used to specifically compensate for a deficiency. Vitamin combination preparations, on the other hand, often contain other vitamins that are not actually deficient. In addition, many vitamin combination preparations are food supplements. These are not approved for the treatment of a vitamin deficiency. In contrast, drugs are subject to strict official tests with regard to quality, effectiveness and safety.
Should patients with diabetes also keep an eye on the intake of other vital substances?
In type 2 diabetes mellitus, not only a vitamin B12 deficiency is often diagnosed, but also a vitamin B1 deficiency. This can manifest itself in a similar way to a vitamin B12 deficiency through disturbances in nerve function such as tingling, pain and sensory disturbances in the feet. If there is an existing vitamin B1 deficiency, this can be compensated for by taking milgamma protekt. The special thing about this preparation: It contains benfotiamine, which can be absorbed by the body 5 times better than conventional vitamin B1.9 One tablet a day can be enough to compensate for the vitamin B1 deficiency. Tip: Are you not sure whether you have a vitamin B12 deficiency? Then simply have your doctor check your vitamin B12 level.
