Frank Sinatra plays a superb role in this 1955 drama about a crooked card dealing junkie who just can't resist one more rigged marathon poker game.
After six months in rehab, Frankie Machine (Frank Sinatra) is trying to stay clean by trying his luck as a jazz drummer. Zosch, has crippled wife is far from enthused with this idea and insists on his return to his crooked gambling ways. When Frankie falls for Molly (Novak) he has his chance to follow his musical dreams in secret at her apartment.
Will Frankie succumb to the pressures of his wife Zosch and his gambling boss(Strauss) or will he pursue his dream of becoming a jazz musician? "The Man with the Golden Arm" is a story of gritty realism and is Frank Sinatra at his best.
