This is a Vintage Gallery clock by New Haven Clock Company, known for their simple design and used in public spaces like schools and offices.
The darkly varnished fully enclosed wood case contains a hinged door with original clear glass for protecting the papered clock face from damage. the original black hour and minute hands are intact. the face of the clock features numbers within strongly geometric segments characteristic of the art deco style. The clock was supposedly salvaged from a local train station.
A book on New Haven clocks shows this clock from the 1929 catalogue. It is called the 12 Inch Balcony. The 12 inch designation refers to the size of the dial. The width is listed as 14 1/2 inches. It came in oak or mahogany finish. I believe this is the mahogany version. It could have been offered a few years before and after 1929.
This clock works and keeps good time. The last photo shows the instructions which would have been included on the partial label on the back of the clock.
