• This is a vintage hardbound book entitled, "The British Essayists" by A. Chalmers, F.S.A.  Dated 1856, uncertain if a 1st printing, but most likely is.  This is Volume 24 as written on the spine and on the inside.
  
  

• 415 pages.  Measures 4 1/4" X 6 3/4".
  
   

• Condition is probably VG+ to VG++ (very good + to very good ++).  I don't have any knowledge in grading books, so photos to show condition.  Tight spine, no loose pages, and complete.  The book spine has been glued (photos to show).  Of course, the typical browning of the pages due to age.  Overall, in very nice vintage condition.
