Hope & Carter H & C Mark 1862-1880 Mid Victorian, 6 soup bowls, over 140 years old. This extraordinary soup bowls are 9.3/4" in diameter and 1.5" high at the rim. The mark on the bottom is shown in the photo,"Borgia" and "H&C", along with the English registration mark. The maker is Hope and Carter, Staffordshire, England, who was in business from 1862 to 1880. The decoration around the rim and in the center shows a hunting motif, a deer, a boar, fruit, vines, etc. Condition: the 6 plates are in different condition: plate 1: age stains and underglaze crazing
