Album Notes Personnel: Antonio Hart (alto saxophone); Billy Pierce (tenor saxophone); Thomas Williams, Roy Hargrove (trumpet); Mulgrew Miller (piano); Christian McBride (bass); Louis Nash (drums).Based on his debut as a leader, nobody will ever accuse altoist Antonio Hart of suffering from a lack of confidence! The opener, his burning "Majority," starts immediately by featuring Hart trading off with tenor saxophonist Bill Pierce. On the strutting "Big H.M." the 22-year-old altoist welcomes his employer of the time, trumpeter Roy Hargrove, and holds his own. Hart also roars on "Del Sasser" and flourishes on the hard bop material, much of which also features the fine trumpeter Thomas Williams. In addition Hart's treatments of some standard ballads finds him showing maturity and great restraint, letting the themes tell their story without feeling the need to double-time everything. Many of the CD's were purchased over the years from used CD stores which may have polished or buffed the CD's to look like new. For most of them I am unable to tell which ones have been polished as they look like new to me.

All CD’s come in a plastic jewel case that was not broken or cracked when sent to you. I take care and put it between cardboard and in a bubble envelope. However, depending on the postal worker, jewel cases can get broken. They are cheap to replace, about 40 cents each. If your CD jewel case arrives broken please do not hold it against me. Thank you.

Item as Described: I grade CD’s as if I was purchasing them for myself. All CD’s are tested and cleaned before they are sent. All jewel cases are in very good condition and not broken unless indicated. The CD is wrapped in cardboard and put in a bubble envelope.
