[THIS issue is devoted almost entirely to FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT and his work, Notably Taliesen West and buildings in Phoenix. As well as an original article by Wright in this issue! -- EDP.]

FRONT AND BACK COVERS:
"TALIESIN WEST--APPROACHING THE ARCHITECT'S CAMP ON MESA BELOW MCDOWELL RANGE." One of Arizona's best known structures is Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West in the desert valley north of Scottsdale. This is the winter home of Mr. and Mrs. Wright and the study place of the Taliesin Fellowship. Taliesin was designed to fit into its surroundings and be part of the desert and mesa, which it does so admirably.

We are singularly proud of this issue because of the presence in it of Frank Lloyd Wright, eminent American architect and Arizona resident. We give you a few of the houses he has designed in the Phoenix area, we take you on a visit to his winter home, Taliesin West, and we offer you an article by Mr. Wright himself. For photographs of Mr. Wright's houses herein we wish to express our thanks to Allen Davison, John Amarantides, Herb McLaughlin, David Dodge, Stuart Weiner and Joe Price.
