Vinyl plays with some crackles and a few light-clicks; one noticeable blemish in the vinyl causes brief skips mid-way through "It's Too Late" (play-graded). Double LP. Gate-fold cover looks good, light scuffing, slight discoloration and a few surface impressions (front/back/inner-gate); some spots of surface abrasion on front. One inner-sleeve is original (ATCO ads); five seams partially split, the other is Mercury ads. Spine is easy-to-read with wear. Minor shelf-wear along top-edge, heavy wear and splits along bottom edge; some corner wear. Openings are crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Layla, is the only studio album by the English–American rock band Derek and the Dominos, released on 9 November 1970 as a double album by Polydor Records and Atco Records. It is best known for its title track, Layla, which is often regarded as Eric Clapton's greatest musical achievement. The other band members were Bobby Whitlock (vocals, keyboard), Jim Gordon (drums, percussion), and Carl Radle (bass). Duane Allman played lead and slide guitar on 11 of the 14 songs. The album peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Top LPs chart in the United States. It returned to the US albums chart again in 1972, 1974 and 1977, and has since been certified Gold by the RIAA. In 2000, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2003, television network VH1 named Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs the 89th-greatest album of all time. In the same year, Rolling Stone ranked it No. 117 on its list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
