If you are not familiar with Early American Pattern Glass and it’s unique properties this set may not be for you. Acquired from a 1700s home in Eastern Delaware you are buying a circa 1820-1870 set of 10“ tall PRESSED GLASS (made in a mould) FLINT GLASS candlesticks. Flint glass has a distinctive heavy weight and a distinctive bell ring when tapped. My guess as to maker is Bakewell and Pears or Boston and Sandwich glass cos. These candlesticks stand very slightly crooked common for glass this old. The mould lines/pattern are sharp to the touch and in the making.
The condition is very good especially for 150+ year old candlesticks. There are no visible chips or cracks, and no sick glass, there are visible bubbles especially visible on the bottoms, and mould straw marks etc. found in old pressed glass.
