Libexin is an over-the-counter medicinal product containing prenoxdiazine hydrochloride intended for the treatment of acute and chronic, mainly dry cough (one in which no secretions are secreted). To prepare for bronchoscopy and bronchography examination to suppress cough.


Ingredients:
Each tablet contains the active substance prenoxdiazine hydrochloride 100 td (prenoxdiazine hydrochloride).
Excipients: zlysterol, magnesium stearate, talc, povidone, wheat starch, lactose monohydrate (38.0 td).


How to use:
Unless otherwise prescribed, the usual dose is:
Adults: The usual dose is 3-4 times a day, 1 tablet (3-4 times 100 td). In more severe cases, the dose is increased to 3-4 times a day, 2 tablets, or 3 times 3 tablets (3-4 times 200 td, or 3 times 300 mg).
Children: The usual dose is proportionally lower, corresponding to age and body weight: 3-4 times 1/2 tablet (3-4 times 50 TD). It is used in children over 6 years of age. In preparation for bronchoscopy: it is applied only after consulting a doctor in the dose prescribed by him. In case of difficulty in secreting thick bronchial secretions, it may be necessary to administer expectorants and mucolytics.

The tablet is swallowed whole without chewing, because it can cause temporary numbness of the mucous membrane of the mouthThe maximum single dose for children over 6 years of age is 1/2 tablet, for adults 3 tablets.

The maximum daily dose for children is 2 tablets, for adults 9 tablets.
