This is a mystery, I have searched for a maker and similar but have come up empty.
Best guess is this is from Central America, it's a hand made painted etched jar or pot with lid. Because I don't know the origin, I'm going to say it is for decoration only and not for food use.
The piece is approximately 6 inches tall. It's clay pottery that has been hand etched and painted in black green and red and then appears to have been glazed and then etched in a geometric design. No chips or cracks. Please see all photos.
