This is a scarce original vintage 1991 factory folded promotional "SHELF TALKER CARD" DISPLAY SIGN featuring the familiar figure of Avengers leader CAPTAIN AMERICA. This Marvel Universe superhero shelf talker card features artwork by silver age artist JOHN ROMITA SR. This large sized 90's Capt America shelf talker card was NEVER FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC. Only comic book shop dealers got them, not all comic store owners got them, and they were produced in VERY SMALL quantities. Shelf talker cards were advertising tools created by Marvel Comics Group to increase sales of comic books and were put on comic dealers shelves to grab customer's attention.

Cap is shown here on this shelf talker card saying "Captain America wants you to team-up with the AVENGERS in the battle against the Kree and the Shi'ar!" This light cardboard "rack header/shelf talker" promotional display card goes all the way back to 1991, during the AVENGERS "OPERATION GALACTIC STORM" Marvel Universe crossover storyline.

SIZE AND CONDITION: This 1990's shelf talker card/display sign measures about 11 inches tall by 6 inches wide, which is pretty big when it comes to promo card related collectibles. It has some built-in folds from the factory and some discoloration on the back side from all the years in storage, otherwise it would have been in very fine/near mint condition. It's folded, which is how it was originally produced by Marvel, and this is normal for promotional items. TOW704.
