I did test this as it is not magnetic.. It is NOT sterling silver. I saw one like it that said it was pewter...I am unsure if it is or not as to me it doesn't hold the characteristics in color of pewter. Unless there is pewter that is polished and shiny like this..but again...I'm unsure of what it's made of.
