Here we have a gorgeous handmade cowhide and leather shoulder bag circa 1940.
This is a genuine period handmade bag not a reproduction.
The period clasp is gorgeous as is the style and proportions.

The leather has rubs and areas of white where the top color isn't present this on the base really and just there- it could be restored or worn as is
Around the handles you can see some wear to the top of the cowhide which is to be expected for a period bag
This bag is in amazing condition for the period - it presents very well and is strong and can be worn out not just displayed.
It is a super example of fashion from the period!
