Beautiful 1980's black textured velvet suit in the style of Chanel.  It was purchased from "Ophelie" on 382 Rue St. Honore in Paris and was probably custom made for the owner, which would be keeping with all of her other items- top of the line. It has a boxy jacket with no closings at the front, which consists of an abstract circle pattern "damask" that feels like fine wool, and is framed with a hem of velvet. It has slightly pleated sleeves at the shoulder. It is lined in black acetate. The only label is for " Acetate", but I don't think the outside material is that.

The skirt is a pencil style, with hip pleats and a back zip closure. Unlined. It is basically timeless in style, just as in Chanel's beautiful styles.
