The lion head clasps are over 3/4 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches long - that's nearly half of the bracelet. Total bracelet measure 8.5 inches when laying flat. I would recommend up to 8 inches for a little room to flex. You can always restring the pearls to make this bracelet fit you perfectly.
