An antique Khmer style bronze seated Ganesha.

Ganesha is enthroned on a large pedestal with a lotus leaf and flower motif on its top rim. The lotus flower represents purity, compassion and the giving of great joy to all. The distinctive patina of the piece is particularly delightful. Ganesha is the elephant headed son of Shiva.

He holds his mandala in one hand and a dagger in his other.
