The Weatherproof Pro series speakers are sold individually so that both professional system integrators, as well as DIY home audio enthusiasts, can order the exact number of speakers needed for the job—whether there’s a need for three speakers, 3 pairs of speakers, or even 30 speakers. Since 70V speakers are connected entirely in parallel and do not require a connection in stereo pairs, you can easily connect 3, 6, 10, or more Weatherproof Pro series speakers without ever having to deal with crazy series/parallel wiring needed to keep the impedance within range of typical 4-Ohm or 8-Ohm amplifiers. Of course, the built-in 8-Ohm tap still lets you connect these speakers to traditional 4-Ohm or 8-Ohm home audio amplifiers, so there’s no need to buy a 70V amp if you already have a home audio system with enough channels and power to add an additional set of speakers. If you do have a home audio amplifier that has both A and B channels to power speakers in a second room, you can use that B channel to easily power a set of outdoor speakers.
