Antique sugar tongs hallmarked "RP" signifying Robert Pringle and with a date code of "e" signifying 1880 London.  In 1880, the silversmith shop was actually Robert Pringle & Sons. Tongs are approximately 3.5 inches long and have the unique bird claw ends that were indicative of Pringle's work. In very good shape with markings still pretty clear - lion passant (middle mark indicates sterling).  First mark appears to be a crown indicating London.
