Rare! 1920's Business Kodascope Model C Collectible 16mm Film Projector With Case Tested Runs Old!
Circa 1920’s RARE Business KODASCOPE MODEL ‘C’ 16mm Cinema Projector
This is the first 16mm home movie projector introduced in 1924 by Eastman Kodak for use with their new 16mm film format. The Kodascope model C was manufactured by Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York and patented in September, 1924.
The machine is in its own study case and slides out of the case on a piece of wood for viewing.
Runs briefly tested. Original case and power cord. Appears to run as designed.

It is a hand crank projector with original crank included and has the original black bodied Kodak glass projection lens and the original wire cage ventilated housing for the lamp.
The base is cast iron and provides excellent picture stability. Takes 400' ft. capacity take-up reels. Illustrated with the original plug. The projector mechanism and case has a crinkle black enamel finish. The chassis is steel. An extremely heavy machine for size. Picture projected is very steady. Steel wire take up belts. The Model C is a very nicely built machine. Made in 1924. This is a robustly built, yet compact piece and is in excellent original condition. A rare example of an archaic and very collectible Kodak piece.
