Description
Postcard Album from an Oregon family with 98 photographs with multiple RPPC versions. There are some simply wonderful versions exhibited throughout this gorgeous circa 1920’s unmolested album. The subject matter consists of a family that loved to hunt and fish including travel. Some members of the family worked for the forest service and others appeared to be inventors. There are photos of local resorts and fire watch towers including automobiles and funky pets. Family members are shown in studio row boats and men on the moon. Other RPPC’s show the Shevlin Hixon Mill in Bend, Oregon and the Celilo Falls Indian village and canal and the Normal School of Abderdeen South Dakota. There is so much there to digest and enjoy. What strikes me the most about this album first and foremost is the fabulous content and the overall condition of the album and the images, this album appears as fresh and solid as the day it was made 100 years ago. Take the time to scroll through the many images I have provided.
