For your consideration I have a 1942 Sphinx High School yearbook from the Centralia High School of Centralia Illinois. This yearbook belonged to Senior Maria Chivario who was quite a popular young lady in the good sense of the word... as inscriptions from fellow students who reaffirm this are notated throughout this great yearbook.  One though has to feel remorse for the boys who likely ended up on the battlefields in Europe and the South Pacific.

A dried carnation flower from her senior prom is pressed inside the opening pages including local newspaper clippings.
