One Dollar Silver - Elizabeth II (1964)

To mark the 100th Anniversary of the 1864 meetings in Charlottetown, PEI and Quebec City, QC which ultimately paved the way for Confederation. 

 

Obverse

Coin depicts the design of Queen Elizabeth II with the Latin inscription:
ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA meaning "Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, the Queen."
 

Reverse

The coin design depicts, conjoined within a circle, the French fleur-de-lis, the Irish shamrock, the Scottish thistle and the English rose.
