- MATCHING IMPEDANCES: The direct box turns high impedance signal to low impedance signal, for live performance, recording or broadcasting.
- EXTRA GAIN FOR LONG DRIVING CABLE RUNS: The active DI box is 48v phantom powered, which provides an extra gain to boost the weak output of some passive, single-coil pickups and extend long driving cable runs.
- NOISE ELIMINATING: A switchable ground lift prevents current from flowing between the DI and the microphone preamplifier along the shielding, thereby breaking the ground loop and eliminating this noise. It also reduce the noise from using long wires and cords.
- PREVENT EXCESSIVE GAIN: A switchable pad (-12 dB) to prevent excessive gain from overloading the circuitry to accommodate the high output of active pickups and unbalanced line-level equipment such as keyboards and other electronic instruments.
