Spry was a brand of vegetable shortening starting in 1936. Aggressive marketing programs using Aunt Jenny grabbed 75% of Crisco's market share before it was discontinued in the early 1950's. The product is no longer manufactured in most places, but sold in Cyprus by a spun off subsidiary of UniLever.
