This vintage postcard depicts the Mayflower II, a replica of the original Mayflower ship. The ship was built in Brixham, England, and sailed from Plymouth, England, to Plymouth, Massachusetts, in April 1957. It was a gift from the people of Great Britain to the United States to symbolize Anglo-American friendship. The ship is now permanently berthed at the Plimoth Plantation site.
