Reaching a height of 15 cm (6 inches) tall, the plant's curvy leaves develop two small points which make it look like a pod of coltish dolphins. It blooms from May to June. The flowers are mincing and white in color, forming clenched puffballs. Each bloom has a halo of blood red to golden yellow filaments.  Senecio peregrinus is a plant that grows easiest in free-draining gritty compost. The plant does not handle cold well, so if you live an area that is colder than -1.1°C (30° F ) use a succulent container. It makes it easier to transport the plant indoor and outdoor. One of the most exciting features of the Senecio peregrinus is that when it blossoms it smells like cinnamon. When watering the Senecio peregrinus (or String of Dolphins) be careful it is a plant that is sensitive to over-watering. It is a plant that needs to be thoroughly drenched in water and dried before watering again.  

Plants may arrive with hitchhikers, pests are a minor but ongoing problem, we believe in nature and use minimal pesticides, with that said we do our best to provide a quality plant but do not warrant against them.
