1970 Nairobi Safari Visitor Handbook With Bonus Hilton International Postcard
Here is a very nice pocket size handbook for getting around Nairobi, circa 1970 presented by "Miss M W Kenyatta His Worship the Mayor."118 pages in a 4" X 5" booklet filled with information for the seasoned traveler on safari or the novice just getting his feet wet. Excellent vintage condition with slight fading on interior pages (which are newsprint). Hire a guide or a car, convert currency, get out of jail, find a park, museum, reserve, or mountain.... Whatever it is you need, it is all here! Also contains many interesting advertisements from the era.
BONUS: Vintage glossy photo postcard of the classic Hilton International Nairobi City Center Hotel in all its opulent (and some said, arrogant) grandeur, circa 1970's. After 53 years of serving the world's most extravagant travelers the City Center Hilton was shuttered in 2022 and is to be demolished soon. Card is in excellent condition and un-posted.
