Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Gate-fold cover looks great; a few creases near edges; moderate scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, and surface impressions (front/back/inner-gate). Inner-sleeve is original (London ads). Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Riviera, by Engelbert Humperdink, was recorded at the Riviera Hotel during the singer's long-running stint in Sin City. The India-born crooner dazzles his adoring audience with romantic ballads. While he could never rival Elvis in terms of icon status, Engelbert Humperdinck could put on quite a show. Highlights of the album include an energetic take on Kris Kristofferson's Help Me Make It Through the Night and a tender version of Rodgers & Hammerstein's You'll Never Walk Alone, along with a show-stopping medley of Engelbert's signature numbers. For fans seeking a vintage Humperdinck live outing, this is the best album on the market (taken from Engelbert's website). The recording gives the listener the audio image of truly being present, in the front row, that night. If you like the Vegas lounge singer type of music this is the best I've heard. Wayne Newton, eat your heart out!"
