This is the fourth album by The Detroit Cobras, released 24 April 2007, and it took three years, but was well worth the wait. Again lifting material from all over the ’70s and ’60s (and sometimes earlier), they lay down a new wall of sound that delivers a truly soulful punch combined with a pure rock and roll rough-up. Highlights: Leave My Kitten Alone, James Brown’s If You Don’t Think, and Puppet On A String. Flawless rock and roll with a bluesy Detroit soul touch.
