An unused real photo postcard of the  SS Rhodesian Prince

 

History:

 
Allen Tony19/06/2008Oswestry Grange SS was a British Cargo Steamer of 4,684 tons built in 1935 by Blythswood Shipbuilding Company, Scotstoun, Yard No 35 for Furness Withy as the ARGENTINE TRANSPORT SS. In 1936 she was purchased by the Prince Line and renamed RHODESIAN PRINCE SS. In 1937 she was purchased by Renfrew Nav Co Ltd (Houlder Bros), London and renamed OSWESTRY GRANGE.

On the 12th February 1941 she was sunk by the German cruiser ADMIRAL HIPPER in position 37.10N/21.20W (E of Sao Miguel, Azores).
