For your consideration is a vintage 1950's musical jewelry box.  This box has a cream lacquer with black paint with Mt Fuji as the main idea.  There is also some inlaid shell in places.  It has 2 side openings with tassel pulls, and 2 drawers and then the main section.  All sections are lined with a pink felt type material.  The top of the main section has the mirror which is cut into pieces to form a curve.  It has the original ballerina, however the hole area has been broken off, so I am not sure if it can still work.  Maybe drilling the hole deeper?  The mirror is still clear and there is also some material at the top to make it look like a stage area.  It has a key that comes with it.  The music box works, however I do not recognize the song.  There is a little wear on a couple of spots on the lining.  Measures  12" wide, 6 1/2" deep and 5" tall.  A real beautiful piece and unique.
