The Trishula Empowerment- While most things in Tibet come from specific root Tantras, many of the traditions that have come out of them are not the same. This is true of the three attributes of the Trishula as well. Some say that they stand for the ability to work in the lower, middle and upper realms of the spirit world – and this attunement will help with that – but it also stands for the destruction of the three afflictions which are ignorance, greed and fear, and also the three poisons (another tradition from the Four Quintessence Tantras of Tibetan Medicine) which are ignorance, aggression and greed. These energies are all covered in this empowerment.
The Demon Head Empowerment- This empowerment gives you the strength and ability to overcome and move through your own shadows, Darkness and ignorance to the Light, peace and wisdom on the other side.
The Wisdom Sword Empowerment- This empowerment gives you the ability to cut through the illusions of this physical existence, and see the spiritual reality that is hidden to mostpeople in a physical incarnation at all times.
The Kapala Empowerment- This empowerment helps to tie into the ancient wisdom of the pre-Hindu Tamang Tibetan Bon Jhankri (Shamans). Long before the Aghori of India began there were Shamans in Tibet who ate and drank out of human skulls and used human bones as ritual objects. In Tibetan Medicine there is a time when one of the remedies is to eat human flesh. The preferred flesh is that of a hero who died in battle, but the flesh of any violent man will do just fine. Eating and drinking out a of the skull cap of a wise and powerful Shaman can help you in many ways besides overcoming the fear of death. I do so often, and recommend that you do so as well. But, this empowerment will help tie you into the ancient wisdom whether you have the courage to drink from a Kapala or not.
The Riddhi Seed Necklace Empowerment- This empowerment helps to protect you from evil spirits, and to give you authority over them.
The Kala Spirit Empowerment- This empowerment works by setting things up for you to be able to receive an alliance with these powerful protective spirits who serve Mahakala directly, and who will help to protect you from any spiritual harm thatdoes not serve your highest karmic good.
The Hand of Blessing Empowerment- The middle left hand of the statue is held with the fingers up and the thumb and index finger making a circle with the ends touching. This is the Hand of Blessing. On many of the statues of Mahakali you see both this mudra, and one with the fingers pointing downward. That is the Hand removing Fear. The Hand of Blessing is there to fulfill the desires of your heart. The energy from this empowerment will start the spiritual and energetic process to make that so. Sometimes it happens quickly, and sometimes it takes many years, but it will surely come to pass.
The Way to Mahakali Empowerment- This hand is pointing through a Dark Moon to Mahakali who is the Great Mother Goddess. This empowerment guarantees you that She will always be accessible to guide you throughout your life, and will aid you in talking with Her and receiving answers clearly along the way even as I do.
