Russian Lacquer Box with Firebird Fairytale Artwork - Unusual Octagonal Shape

I bought this beautiful lacquer box at a Russian boutique store and never used or displayed it.

Measures 3.25" x 2" x 1".

Note: The white mark on the green coat and red cape in the picture is the result of the flash from my camera. The surface is not marred in any way.
