Comments: The Weylister Junior Secretarial School in Milford, Connecticut, has an interesting history. It was located on the site of the old Milford High School, which is now known as the Parsons Government Center. The school closed for three years during World War II and re-opened in September 1946. In 1947, the Weylister Junior Secretarial School merged with the Junior College of Connecticut, which later became the University of Bridgeport. This merger allowed for further expansion and development of the institution. The school played a significant role in providing secretarial education and training to many students during its operation. Its legacy continues through the University of Bridgeport, which absorbed the school and its program.
