Noble Celts is a circular chess boardgame that is played exactly like Chess. There are 64 circles corresponding to the 64 squares. Diagonal moves are made along lines that spiral into and out of the center of the board. Pieces are set up along the outside of the circle and around the center ring, and play is inward or outward. The lack of a side edge to what, if uncurled, would be a normal chess board makes for very exciting play.
