ITALIAN DANDELION is actually a Chicory who's leaves look like dandelions. If you where to let some live out there natural life-cycle they would produce nice blue flowers about 1"across.The leaves are long, broad, dandelion like leaves with a asparagus like flavor. Grows very fast. Prefers cooler temps of fall and spring. Will over winter in most area's. Very cold hardy to 10F. Some say it taste even better after a frost or two. Will tolerate some shade. Grows well in the garden or patio containers. Medium water and a little organic fertilizer if needed. Grow Italian dandelions like it's a lettuce. Over plant and use thinning's as a micro-greens.
