Book is in good to very good condtion with inscription by author on front flyleaf.  The dust jacket is wrapped in Mylar and is not price clipped.  There is a slight lean or cock to the spine and moisture marks on the top covers.  No other marks or impairments to be found.  

This murder mystery set in Bourbonville, Tennessee, in the aftermath of the Civil War won the Friends of American Writers prize for best first novel when it was first published in 1969.
