Pansy Flower Seeds, Swiss Giants Mix, Viola Wittrockiana, FREE SHIPPING
Pansy 'Swiss Giants Mix' seed mix is a large-flowered, heirloom pansy that comes in a mix of blue, orange, purple, red, white and yellow. Flowers have a contrasting, dark blotch. Pansies are perennials but are generally treated as annuals. They are quite cold resistant, and the flowers are edible.
Sowing: Direct sow in late fall, planting the seed just below the surface of the soil. For spring planting, mix the seeds with moist sand and store in the refrigerator for 60-90 days before planting. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination.
Growing: Water seedlings regularly until they become established. Though they flourish with occasional watering in especially dry weather, mature plants can tolerate short periods of drought in addition to adapting to many soil types. Deadhead to prolong blooming. This plant may self-seed. It makes an excellent choice as a ground cover or border plant, as well as performing well as a container plant.
