Since 1942, Lasserre welcomes lovers of French cuisine with enthusiasm, modernity and theatrics. Renowned for its immense mechanical roof, opening up to the Parisian sky, this unique institution in the world draws in epicureans attracted by the creative, spot-on and light cooking of Nicolas Le Tirrand, a young leader who has practiced with the stars. More than an elegant restaurant, Lasserre is a unique experience of exceptional moments of magic. This establishment was founded by René Lasserre in 1942 [ 1 ] . He obtained his first star in 1949, then the second in 1951. He reached the status of very large restaurant, "deserving the trip" , according to the famous expression of the Michelin Guide , in 1962, obtaining his precious 3 rd star . it will retain more than 20 years until 1983 . Famous clients include André Malraux, Marc Chagall , Salvador Dalí , Romy Schneider , Audrey Hepburn , Jean-Claude Brialy and Frédéric Dard  . It was during a lunch in this place with Malraux that Chagall decided to decorate the ceiling of the Opéra Garnier . For a long time in the kitchen, René Lasserre created great classics such as Challans orange duck, André-Malraux pigeon  , macaroni with truffles and foie gras , and Élysées-Lasserre timbale for dessert. Between 2001 and 2010, it is the former chef of La Grande Cascade , Jean-Louis Nomicos, trained by Alain Ducasse , who runs the kitchens. Replaced by Christophe Moret , defector of the Plaza Athénée , in 2010, then by Michel Roth in 2016, it is today and since September 2018 Nicolas Le Tirrand the chef, accompanied by Jean Lachenal pastry. Unique for its sunroof on the Paris sky, the room was completely renovated in 2017.
