Cargo gear: 10 cargo winches. 1x 15ton SWL (Save Working Load), heavy lift boom "Jumbo", 10x 5ton SWL derricks. Engine daily consumption: 9 tons. Bunker capacity: 925 tons. Call sign: SVZF. Chartered on 12th October 1939 by the Swiss Government (Swiss War Transport Administration), Kriegs Transport Amt, (KTA), Berne (Management Honegger & Ascott, London). Her first voyage for Switzerland was from Wales to Buenos Aires. The freighter was insured for about 4'900'000 CHF.
