This is a Couroc plate with inlaid California Poppy measuring 10 3/8" diameter.  It is embossed on the back "Couroc, Monterey, California."  There is also a sticker on the back which reads "Couroc serving pieces are cherished gifts because of their variety and beauty of design.  Hand inlaid by master craftsmen, shells, coins, woods and metals are fused into satin black phenolic...."  It has a few scuffs but is otherwise in very good condition.
