The Whirlpool burner head is an OEM replacement part responsible for distributing and diffusing the gas from the burner orifice to create a controlled flame on a gas range or stove. The burner heads are located on top of each individual burner. When the gas valve is opened and gas flows to the burner head, the flame ignites, providing the necessary heat for cooking.

The Whirlpool burner head can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.
